Robert Meyers is a licensed psychologist and attorney. He has a long history of experience working with various populations.
Since the 1970's, he has worked with children in numerous capacities. As an educator, Dr. Meyers began as a volunteer science instructor in NYC public elementary schools to help fill the great need to expose our children to the scientific world in a meaningful way. He helped many children "learn to love to learn" about science and other areas until 2006. He has also been a volunteer special education teacher for high school students. In the 1980's, Dr. Meyers began teaching college and graduate school students. Today he is an adjunct professor at St. John's University teaching courses in psychology to graduate and undergraduate students.
In the 1970's and 80's, Dr. Meyers worked as a counselor and head counselor at a summer sleep-away camp.
Dr. Meyers created and coordinated a new Children's In-Patient unit at Holliswood Hospital.
In 2004, he created Club Erudition (formerly part of "The Meyers Program") to help children who were having difficulties in school. This year, the 2011 Writing Adventure is designed for mainstream children looking to learn or improve their writing skills while enjoying educational and fun trips throughout the city of New York.
Dr. Meyers operates a full-service psychology practice in Bayside, NY.
